QUE CALOR! Add Some NEON DEON To Your Workout

Deion Sanders once said:

“If you look good, you feel good.

If you feel good, you play good.

If you play good, they pay good.”

How many times have you dreaded going to the gym after a long day?

For me, that number is too high to count.

The first thing I do is

• I take a quick pre-workout and throw on the closest pair of shorts and t-shirt that I can find.

I rush to the gym and as I begin to really zone out and get into my groove... I pass the mirror.

Wow! I look like shit.

Why in the hell did I go with this gray ensemble?

I quickly begin to flip through my phone and examine the array of gym selfies and it’s clear:

I’m a repeat offender. SMH!

This got me to thinking.

I love the gym. I love what it gives to me and what I give to it.

Why is that not reflected in the way I look?

The gym has treated me better than any job, and, sadly, most girlfriends. I get dressed up for both. Why am I short-changing the one place that I love the most?

After coming to this conclusion, I made a conscious effort to do better. I began mixing and matching colors that complimented my mood. If I was having a hard, tough day at work I’d go home and pick out the brightest gym clothes that I had in my closet.

Before I knew it, I had totally changed my mood!

I decided to bring my feet to the party as well.

If I had a tough leg workout that I wanted to kill, I’d wear red shoes. I began matching and purchasing vintage tees. This was adding a whole new element to my gym life.

It was exciting. I was loving every minute of this.

I began to have fewer and fewer days that I dreaded getting my workout in.

I will not say that this by any means will make you perform better, but it is quite possible that it will positively affect your mood.
