Stealthy Healthy! Sneak in the Healthy Stuff Inside the Foods You Like to Eat

Eating right, ALL the time, is pretty damn hard.

Everyone knows what they should do – but that isn’t always what they want to do.  Food has to taste good – there’s just no way around it!

If it doesn’t taste good, you won’t eat it often and then why bother? One of my favorite tricks is to sneak healthy foods into foods that I already love! Like a healthy food ninja... or something...

Here are some great ideas so you can add a healthy kick to your next meal:


Okay, unless you’re Popeye, nobody is eating enough of this stuff.

Spinach can help improve your blood sugar levels, bone health and can give you great skin & hair! It’s full of vitamins and protein and you should be eating more than you are.

My favorite way to sneak spinach into my life, is, in meatballs.

... As in Spinach Meatballs!!!

All you need to do, is, make your favorite meatball recipe (I like ground turkey best) and in the last stages before you cook your meatballs, add some cooked and well-drained spinach.

It is super important that you get out all of the excess moisture because your meatballs will fall apart if they’re too wet from the spinach.

You can also cook up a little extra spinach and add it to your pasta sauce! It tastes great & is a more exciting way to get all the benefits spinach has to offer!

Chia Seeds

If you haven’t tried chia – you totally should!

These tiny little seeds pack a serious punch!

Fiber, protein, antioxidants, and Omega-3’s!

Plus they are naturally gluten-free!

This stuff is the Superman of the super-food world.

They don’t taste like much, so they are great little gems to add into other foods!

My favorite way to get some Chia in my life, is, in a smoothie.

Chia is a little odd in that when it is in a liquid it absorbs the liquid and becomes like tapioca in a way – so if you put it into something, you can bet it will expand and thicken. If you put it in smoothies – it doesn’t have time to expand before you drink the smoothie so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Chia is so good for you, that you almost have to try it – and smoothies are a great way to get started because you won’t even know that it’s in there.

You will feel full and satisfied longer with your usual smoothie because Chia is full of fiber and your body digests it slowly! WIN!

Just think of all the extra nutritional goodness you will get just by sneaking in a few healthy foods!
