Can Teeth Whitening Have Long-Lasting Health Complications?



Have you ever wondered what the long term health effects of teeth whitening are? The New York Times published an article talking specifically about teeth whitening complications today. While many people are curious about this subject, the Times concluded that there is no scientific indication that teeth whitening will be harmful to your health long term. Most over-the-counter whitening strips produce a temporary effect, only changing the color of the tooth just beneath the enamel.

Although teeth whitening does not cause harm, it’s important to talk to your dentist before you begin whitening you teeth.
