It may look like ballet, but it's not. Barre fitness classes are simply ballet-inspired, incorporating elements of pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, usually choreographed to motivating music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you’ll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls small hand weights, and bands to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.
In this video, you'll see a combination of many different exercises targeted towards your entire body. From head to toe, feel the burn with 40-minute barre workout!
Pigeon Pose Pulse
Standing Pigeon is a deep hip stretch that can produce intense sensations, but it's a gem that gets right to the nitty-gritty. The pose also stretches the back, shoulders, knees and ankles.
Plié Band Stretch
This one is a true full body exercise. Keep your abs drawn in tight during the entire exercise, and focus on squeezing your inner thighs together as you slide your foot back into start.
Lunge Triceps Pulse
This killer triceps pulse exercise is one you will love and hate at the same time, because although it can be quite difficult you will see results quick. While holding a lunge, extend your arm up, pulling a band apart with each hand. This will really engage your triceps and your quads.
Glute Arabesque Lift
This is a great exercise for glute activation and eccentric hamstring loading. You will need a light dumbbell for this one, so once you’ve gathered your supplies, you’ll be on your way to a stronger body.
Crossover Crunch With Pilates Ball
The crossover crunch exercise targets the rectus abdominis, the external obliques and internal obliques for the ultimate core exercise. If you don’t have a pilates ball you can use a towel or anything soft enough to place behind your back.
