Top 3 Hotels For Staying Fit While Traveling

Ready for a crazy statistic? Travelers that are “health nuts” or even more health-focused, spend on average 130% more than non-health focused travelers. It’s funny because I always gain weight when I travel, don’t you?

Well you don’t have to because this crazy statistic is driving the travel industry. Hotels are re-branding their spaces to be fully equipped for the healthy at heart.

Quick tip: Pack this resistance tube kit in your suitcase and keep your FIT together no matter what hotel you booked.  Shop now!

Here are three stellar chain hotels for staying fit while traveling:alf3046ex.83777_md

Aloft

I love aloft. I have stayed at aloft multiple times in cities across the United States. This is an excellent business travel geared hotel with a nutritional menu and a well-balanced atmosphere. Many of them have indoor pools and saunas. The parent hotel, Westin, is more family–friendly, with healthy kids menus and even a “gear-lending” program. For $5 you can rent gym clothes and shoes from New Balance and it will be delivered to your door.

The Even Hotel

Founded by InterContinental Hotels Group, The Even Hotels offer a full blown “zen-like” atmosphere with multifunctional rooms that support yoga practice and very nutritional menus. The gym is made to feel like an outdoor atmosphere with natural daylight and a lot of open space. Quite different from the chincey storage closet-like gyms you might find at roadside box hotels.

Hyatt

If you are in a pinch and one of these trendier chains is nowhere to be found. Have no fear; the Hyatt is here! The Hyatt menu is based on the philosophy Food, Thoughtfully Sourced, Carefully Served. The Hyatt is particularly friendly to runners. Most concierge desks at the Hyatt will lend you a GPS watch that carefully tracks a run route for you to follow and is monitored so you are safe and won’t get lost. There is nothing better than visiting a new place and getting to explore it with a good jog, right? Well, not for me. I am not a runner, but I see the benefit. I prefer to workout in the Hyatt’s gym, which I hear is pretty nice at most locations.
