All women want to flaunt a nice butt and toned legs. So, how can she feel confident in her own skin and get the body of her dreams? The answer is by doing weight training.

Women generally believe that they should not lift weights, as their arms would bulge with muscles. However, nothing could be farther from the truth than that. Anyway, it is time we changed that belief and tried pumping iron for a fully sculpted body.

Not only will weight training trim those ugly inches off your hips, but it will also sculpt your entire body and your overall health. Not just these, there are other benefits too of strength training that can remain with you for hours after a workout.

You can build muscle with weight training and increase metabolism with lean muscle. With a higher metabolism, you can burn much more calories through the day, making you trimmer and leaner. According to studies, if you do strength-training exercises three times a week for two months, while you gain about 4 kg of muscle, you will also lose 7 kg of fat. So, think about it.

Women erroneously believe that by doing strength training, they will bulk up on ugly muscle. However, women do not have the necessary testosterone for muscle building as men do, so this cannot happen. Women have about 20 times less testosterone than men on average and have great difficulty in bulking up by doing strength training. On the other hand, women get muscle definition and strength, but do not bulk up from exercising.

While you exercise, your body releases endorphins. These neurotransmitters not only improve your mood, but also, prevent you from feeling pain while fighting depression. If the amount of endorphins in your body increases dramatically, it automatically reduces your stress and anxiety levels. Endorphins also play a great role in stimulating your mind, boosting your energy levels and making you more alert. Overall, weight training can give you a more productive day at work.

Your risk of injury is reduced:

The strength in your joints and connective tissues increases significantly with weight training. You need to have strong tendons, joints and ligaments so that you do not have any pain due to osteoarthritis. By doing strength training, your muscles can be strengthened so that you are free from small injuries due to daily tasks.
